Delete your Velmira account

You can ask us to delete your Velmira account and everything in it. You do not need the app installed to ask, and you do not need to explain why.

Want a copy of your data first?

Deletion is permanent. Once it has run there is nothing left for us to copy — so if you want your lab values, your protocols and the doses you logged, your notes, or your conversations with the assistant, ask us before you start the deletion.

Email support@velmira.io from the address on your account and say what you would like a copy of. We put it together by hand — Velmira has no download-your-data button yet — and we check that the request really comes from you before we send anything. Allow us a little time for that, which is the other reason to ask before you delete rather than after.

How to ask

In the app. Open Velmira, go to Profile, choose Delete account, then Request account deletion. You will be asked to confirm.

By email, if you cannot open the app. Write to support@velmira.io from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. We will check that the request really comes from you before we act on it — deletion is permanent, so we will not act on a request we cannot verify. Once we have, your request runs on exactly the timeline below, counted from the day we confirm it.

What gets deleted

Everything you put into Velmira: your lab reports and the values read from them, your supplements and medications with their schedules, the doses you logged, your notes, your conversations with the assistant and anything it remembered about you, your profile details, and your sign-in credentials.

We keep one thing, and only one: a record that the erasure happened. It holds no health information. It exists so the deletion can be proven, and so we cannot quietly fail to carry it out.

How long it takes

  • Day 0 — you ask us to delete your account. The grace period starts.
  • Day 14 — the grace period ends. Until this point you can cancel simply by signing back in, so an accidental — or coerced — deletion is recoverable.
  • Within 16 days — your health data is erased from our live systems.
  • Within 55 days — every remaining copy is gone, including the encrypted backups, which age out on their own schedule. This is the outer bound, not the typical case: we state the figure we can keep every time.

What the Privacy Policy says

The rest of this page is section 7 of the Privacy Policy, word for word. It is quoted rather than summarised so that this page cannot come to say something the policy does not.

7. Deleting your account and data

You can delete your account from inside the app. When you do:

One honest limit: a small internal cache that makes offline syncing safe can hold recently written content for up to about 7 days beyond your last write, plus a short cleanup delay. No other user can read it, and it cannot be searched by account.

Deleting a note, or something the assistant remembered, removes it straight away. Ending a protocol stops its reminders but keeps the doses you already logged, because that history is part of your record — it goes when your account does. You cannot yet delete a single lab report from inside the app: write to support@velmira.io and we will delete it for you. Deleting the app from your phone does not delete your account.
